Landscape Architecture Faculty and Students Receive ASLA Potomac Chapter Awards

Landscape Architecture Profs. Nathan Heavers and Paul Kelsch, with students Aniran Asgarifard, Mary Cadwallender, Jeff Curtis, and Rebekah Lawrence, have received a 2016 Merit Award from the Potomac Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) for their Springsbury Arboretum project at the Casey Tree Farm in Berryville, Virginia (more info…). The District Architecture Center (DAC) is hosting an exhibition of the award-winning work from Oct. 12th through Dec. 10th. In addition, Paige Courtney, a student at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, was awarded the Edward B. Ballard Scholarship.
